Spinal Cord Stimulation: Giselle’s Story
Giselle’s Story
I began experiencing severe pain that traveled from my arms all the way into my fingers. The pain was unbearable, caused headaches, and disrupted my sleep. I tried therapy, Pilates, and different medications, but nothing provided lasting relief. I would only get temporary relief, and I knew I needed to find another option.
Giselle’s SCS Experience
I took the time to learn about the programs the stimulator offers for my pain and once I found the right program for me it has been wonderful. Now, I simply charge my spinal cord stimulator about once a week, and I don’t feel much pain anymore. I have experienced about an 80% reduction in my pain, and I am absolutely loving my spinal cord stimulator. It has made such a positive difference in my life.
What Would Giselle Say to Someone Considering an SCS?
I’ll be honest—it was a little scary at first. But if you’re considering a spinal cord stimulator, ask questions and be open to trying something new if you’re looking for relief. Be patient, keep an open mind, and take the time to understand the process. For me, it has been completely worth it.
