Spinal Cord Stimulation: Richard’s Story

Richard’s pain story:

After years of working as a nurse, the pain from my back became unbearable. I tried to avoid surgery, but as the pain increased, I knew I had to do something. I decided to keep an open mind and explore the option of a Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) to see if it could provide some relief.

Richard’s SCS experience:

Once I learned more about the SCS, I decided to give the trial a try, and it made a huge difference. My pain went from a level 100 to a 2 or 3. I was able to return to my normal activities, and even went on a Mediterranean cruise—something I never thought would be possible without the SCS!

What would Richard say to others who are considering a CS?

I’d say, “Look into it with an open mind!” The SCS has made such a positive impact on my life. I use it 24/7 now and can’t imagine life without it.
